For the first time the weather really didn’t look good so we decided a museum might be a good idea so with that in mind we headed for the Maritime Museum in Falmouth.

When we arrived everyone was quite hungry so we decided to try The Shack on Discovery Quay. What a great place! I had moules marinière and they were FANTASTIC! Freshly cooked and gorgeous! Roger and Jack had whitebait which went down well too!

We spent the rest of the day at the museum which was extremely enjoyable. It was the sort of place where you were encouraged to get up close to the exhibits which Jack absolutely loved!

On the way back we called in at The Mote at Port Isaac as we’d liked the look of it earlier in the week. I had two starters as I couldn’t face a main – salt and pepper squid followed by scallops with pancetta. I had my eye on a original oil on canvas  of a lobster that hung near our table!

Jack was feeling tired and by the time we got back was happy to snuggle up in bed whilst Roger and I flopped in front of the TV.
