As good as the Cornwall beaches and countryside are, it may not always be convenient to get out and about. Behind the Leisure Building at Trevalgas are the outdoor play areas – suitable for all ages.

The large meadow or recreation field is suitable for ball games.

In the far corner, there is a children’s adventure playground which includes a Wendy House which children love to transform into a shop, home or even a theatre, keeping them happy and occupied while the older children are mountaineering on the climbing frame! There are also two swings, one of which is suitable for toddlers.

For the younger children, we have some farm themed play equipment – with springy animals to ride, and a large crawl through tractor, and a slide.

And for the oldest ‘children’, there are a couple of south facing benches, ideal for relaxing in the sun (hopefully) while keeping an eye on those at play.

N.B. Dogs are not permitted in the recreation field, even on leads.

In addition, a small orchard provides a peaceful and shaded retreat.  All that’s needed is a blanket, a book and perhaps a drink!

The access to the play area is from the car park side of the leisure building, although guests of Bramblewood, Blackberry, Briar Patch and Linhay have direct entry from their gardens.
