It's not just the glorious countryside and well-equipped cottages, but we have great on-site facilities.

There is a superb 40 ft  (or 12.3m)  indoor heated swimming pool, with male and female changing rooms and a hot shower, open daily. The pool is free to use, has a constant depth of  4ft (or 1.27m)  and is very popular with young families.

The pool is for the exclusive use of the self catering cottages at Trevalgas, so you'll often find you have the whole pool to yourselves.  Indeed, many visitors have arrived as non-swimmers, and having spent time in the pool (often having it to themselves), have departed as swimmers.

Opening times for Pool:  The pool will now normally be open at 7.45am to allow for a swim before breakfast, closing at 9pm (July 2nd - Aug 26th), 8pm (May 22nd - July 1st) or 7pm (for the remainder of the year). With such long opening hours you can enjoy a swim every day, whenever it suits you. Dates/times for 2012 will be similar.

The swimming pool is open from the February half term until the end of the October half term, and for about two weeks to cover Christmas and New Year.  See the tables below for exact dates.

In the Leisure Building there is a Laundry room fitted with industry-sized equipment. There are three automatic washing machines and two tumble driers.  There is a charge for using these machines.

All cottages have irons and ironing boards.

Since 2006 we have offered free Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi) in all of our cottages. There is excellent broadband reception all over the site, so you can use it in the cottages, in the gardens or in the Leisure building.

Heated Indoor pool

Behind the Leisure Building are the outdoor playing areas - suitable for all ages.

• The large recreation field is suitable for ball games.
• In the far corner, there is a children's adventure playground which includes a Wendy House which children love to transform into a shop, home or even a theatre, keeping them happy and occupied while the older children are walking the wobbly plank, practicing their balancing skills!
• For the younger children, we have fitted some farm themed play equipment - with springy animals to ride, and a large crawl through tractor.
• And for the oldest ‘children’, there are a couple of south facing benches, ideal for relaxing in the sun (hopefully) while keeping an eye on those at play.

Payphone

While we appreciate that most guests have mobile phones, there is a Payphone in the Leisure Building near to the Laundry.

This also serves as an emergency phone for the swimming pool.

The Games Room, in the Leisure Building adjacent to the Laundry, has table tennis and pool tables. (Table tennis bats & balls are provided in each cottage).

This room is located in the Leisure building along with the swimming pool, but with a separate entrance so that children can use it unaccompanied. The pool table requires just two 20p coins for a game.

All cottages have plenty of books to provide some holiday reading, and their is a cupboard in the Games room with  board games which can be borrowed.

Breaks in self-catering properties provide flexibility but it also involves having to organise food.

To make life a little easier, there are two local businesses who provide delicious food for our guests - either deliveries of an initial supply of groceries from the local delicatessen ready for your arrival, or home cooked meals ready to heat up, or be served.
