Briar Patch is comfortable, convenient and cosy.

Briar Patch is a no smoking cottage.

The owners, Betty and John Gimson who live locally in Poughill, have spent many holidays in self-catering accommodation and they strive to make Briar Patch as comfortable as possible. The cottage has all the comforts of home – yet it's set in wonderful countryside bordered by the rugged Cornwall coast, and only 1½ miles from superb sandy beaches and Bude town centre.

The English Tourist Board awarded Briar Patch a '4 star' rating for self-catering accommodation for the past 3 years. The most recent inspection was on 12 Mar 2008.

Living area

Open plan lounge/diner with two 3-seater leather sofas and dining table + six chairs;
TV with Freeview, VTR, DVD player, CD/Radio/tape player, plus small selection of videos, DVDs, CDs, books and games/puzzles;
Stove-style electric heater.

Kitchen

Adjoining the lounge/diner, it has split-level cooker, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, etc.
There is also an iron, ironing board and clothes airer.

Bedrooms

Three bedrooms - two doubles and one with twin beds.
Main bedroom has TV with Freeview, alarm clock/radio; + hair dryer;
Twin-bedded room also has a full sized cot.

Bathrooms

Family bathroom, inc toilet, electric shower over bath, fan heater and heated towel rail.
Separate toilet with hand basin;
We provide towels (for domestic use) - free of charge - for guests over 3 yrs old.

Outside

Small patio at front with table and chairs;
Good-sized secure garden at the rear, with barbecue, patio furniture and rotary clothes line
Private access gate to the play area.

General

Briar Patch has electric night storage heaters and is fully double glazed throughout making it both warm and secure;
Ideal for holidays or short breaks at any time of the year;
High chair available at no extra charge;
Dog/s are accepted by prior arrangement with no extra charge.
