Hazel cottage was newly equipped and furnished in March 2008. It offers spacious accommodation for two and has room for a third person on a futon in the large bedroom. There is plenty of room for a cot. The accommodation comprises a light and airy open plan sitting/dining room, comprehensively equipped kitchen area, large double bedroom with chair/futon, bathroom with over-bath power shower.
The sliding door from the sitting room leads to the
sun deck from which spectacular views across rolling countryside and Stratton village can be enjoyed. On a good day you can see Roughtor in the distance (some 15 miles away). From the deck there are three steps down to the garden which is on three sides of the cottage.

This cottage is a delight, with windows on three sides it has light streaming in nearly all day. It is big enough for three people to use without feeling they are getting on top of one another. From the private car park and inside it is all on one level so it is ideal for those who find stairs difficult.
Hazel is ideal for a couple with a young child, perfect for a romantic weekend or just a “get away from it all” break where you can enjoy the spectacle of the Atlantic rollers just a mile and a half away or the peace of the countryside on the doorstep with abundant wildlife right in the back garden. There are country walks, coastal walks, water sports, pubs and restaurants – whatever you’re looking for you’re sure to find it close by.
