Chestnut is one of three cottages set slightly apart from the others in a tucked away location, high on the side of the valley, but with easy access to all facilities. It is a two storey cottage with three bedrooms (a double and two twins) and a family bathroom upstairs. The master bedroom has an en-suite toilet/shower room. There is another toilet on the ground floor. Outside there is a suntrap garden which has beautiful distant views across the valley towards Stratton. There is a patio with garden furniture and a brick built barbeque.

The best thing about Chestnut is the huge open plan sitting/dining area where the whole family can get together but not be on top of one another. The raised kitchen area means that the cooks aren’t kept away from the rest of the family before mealtimes (and neither are the washer uppers afterwards!)

At Chestnut the visitor can feel relaxed and far away from life’s troubles. Time and again our guests comment on the sheer joy of being in this peaceful environment with beautiful views, lots of wildlife on the doorstep and sunshine on the patio (sadly not guaranteed).
